Had a great time this weekend at Yahoo’s openhacknyc. Yahoo has a lot of cool technology that I’ve never had a chance to use but will definitely be looking into now. Of particular interest was fire eagle for geo locating, YQL and their tv widget platform. The atmosphere was great and though I spent 30 hours no sleep working on my hack (and didn’t win any thing ) I had a great time seeing what others were doing with this technology and even had some ideas for a  food community called wetawa that I’m working and will be launching Q1 of next year. Definitely looking forward to taking part in more of these events
